Michael Ozen

Michael is a seasoned professional with over 26 years of experience, specializing in international taxation.  He advises individuals and businesses who are involved in both inbound and outbound transactions, helping his clients develop solutions to complex international tax issues.

Michael has substantive tax experience at all levels, serving clients that range in size from emerging or smaller privately-held companies to mature Fortune 500 publicly-held corporations.  His array of clients includes C corporations, S corporations and partnerships, other pass-through entities and hybrid entities, as well as their owners and employees.

Prior to joining RBZ, Michael was the director of international tax for a Big Four accounting firm and was a partner of a national accounting firm.  His prior experience also includes being chief financial officer of a publicly-held high-technology company, a venture capital-backed software company, and a national law firm.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of RBZ, Michael is a former board member of the Club House Museum for Children and former CFO of the Los Angeles Children’s Museum.

Michael graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, where he later served on the faculty of the Department of Business Economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and licensed as a chartered accountant in South Africa (inactive).
