Charles Osaki has been in the public accounting profession for over 29 years, of which 17 years has been as a senior executive in human resources and staffing. In addition, his experience includes 12 years as an audit professional serving emerging and middle-market companies in manufacturing & distribution, franchising, mortgage banking, and healthcare organizations. His primary responsibilities at RBZ include leading the human resource, recruiting and marketing functions as well as the firm training and development program.
Charles is involved with human resource policy development, performance evaluations, counseling, compensation, campus and experienced-professional recruiting, orientation and other programs related to the development and retention of professional staff.
He is also responsible for developing marketing collateral, website content, newsletters, individual marketing and sales strategies, public relations and works alongside the Managing Partner to develop and implement the firm’s marketing strategy.
Charles is also in-charge of the firm’s internal training and development program, encompassing the development and management of functional technical skills, interpersonal and managerial skills.
Outside of RBZ, Charles is a member of the Board of Trustees, CalCPA Education Foundation, co-Chair of the Accounting Education & Careers Committee, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, member of the advisory committee for the Masters of Science in Taxation program at California State University, Northridge, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council and volunteer for the Bolsa Chica Conservancy.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Society for Human Resources Management.
Charles graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also completed the Advanced Human Resources Management program from the University of California, Los Angeles, John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management. He is a graduate of Leadership Los Angeles and the former President of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Accounting Alumni Association.
